DIY Goal & Task List Pages

I've taken classes and attended seminars on achieving goals, and they all say the same thing... know where you're headed and break goals down into smaller tasks. I've tried online applications for recording goals and tasks lists, but always end up coming back to pen, paper and my organizer.

I thought it was time for new organizer pages so I spent the morning creating a few. I also documented the process in case you need a little inspiration.

First gather supplies:
  • Paper (lined and plain)
  • Paints & Brush
  • Glue Stick
  • Old magazines
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch

Next fold plain paper in half, then cut along fold. Then tear the lined paper to fit each half of the plain paper. Obviously you could cut rather than tear the lined paper, but I like the torn look.

Now come the fun steps:
  • Paint each half of the plain paper and let dry
  • Glue lined paper to each of the painted pages
  • Draw, and glue words of inspiration onto each page

After that, scan or copy the finished pages so you can print enough for your binder. Print the page(s). Use a hole punch to make holes so that the pages fit your binder or organizer.

And the most important step... use it!

If you'd like free copies of the pages I created today:

  • Non-Gmail users - enter your email address under "Email New Posts To:" click "Submit" and follow instructions on the screen

I will notify you (later this week) when they are available to be downloaded.

  2. Ohm Laura Olsen is Informative Post!!!

I’m really impressed the design and layout of your site. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more enjoyable for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a developer to create your theme? Exceptional work!

  3. @Ohm Laura Olsen - thank you. No, I didn't use a developer. I had an idea of what I wanted it to look like and I read a LOT of how-to's on the internet that helped me set things up. At one point I did hire someone via Etsy, to help me turn my artwork into a banner and buttons for my site.

Looking back, I wish I hadn't wasted so much time trying to learn everything on my own. My goal is to ask for help much sooner when I have questions.
